Gem-A (Gemmological Association of GB). The Gem-A is the world′s longest established provider of gem and jewellery education. The prestigious Diplomas in Gemmology and Diamonds, taught around the world, are now globally recognized as qualifications of the highest status. Diploma graduates may apply for election to Fellowship (FGA).

Association of Fine Jewellers. It is the sole body representing independent retail jewellers in Ireland. The aim of association is to promote high professional standards, consumer confidence and to foster the reputation of its members.

National University of Ireland. NUI Galway is a unique source of education and training in gemmology. The two-year part time Diploma in Scientific Studies (Gemmology) provides an introduction to the science of gemmology for people with a general interest in gemstones, as well as for those working in the jewellery and related trades.

Association of Independent Jewellery Valuers. The AIJV has a worldwide membership of truly independent jewellery valuers and appraisers, its aim is to promote the independent valuer and advance the benefits of employing their services.

Jewellery Valuers Association. The Jewellery Valuers Association is the only independent body in the UK and Ireland exclusively for valuers of jewellery, gemstones. The association's primary purpose is to promote and support, the services of the most highly qualified, experienced and professional jewellery valuers.

International Colored Gemstone Association. The International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA), a non-profit organization, is the only worldwide body specifically created to benefit the global colored gemstone industry. ICA was founded in 1984 and is now comprised of over 600 gemstone dealers, cutters, miners and retailers from 47 countries who are devoted to advancing and promoting the knowledge and appreciation of colored gemstones.

Scottish Gemmological Association. The Scottish Gemmological Association probably the most dynamic organisation of its kind world wide, attracting the most eminent speakers in the field of gemmology to its annual conference, was established to promote the advancement of the science of gemmology.
